3 Health Tips to Keep You Motivated This Winter

We're already 8 weeks into 2022...crazy, right? 

But did you know that just one month after the New Year, only 64% of people have stuck to their New Year's resolutions? Whether or not that's you, don't worry. None of us are perfect and even if you have fallen off the horse, there is always time to get back on. And we wanted to bring you three simple tips to get you motivated and back on that healthy living train. 


1. Eat mindfully. It may sound easier said than done, but taking the time to eat slowly, thinking about where your food came from, how it tastes and how it makes you feel are all great skills to develop in order to have a healthy relationship with food. Another great tip: keep journal! You can write about your day, how you feel after eating certain foods (which can help identify any outliers, added bonus!), and it can be daily or weekly, you decide! 


2. Keep healthy snacks on hand. Life gets busy and when we're out and about hungry with no food on hand, we can often find ourselves reaching for anything, healthy or not, or we end up binging as soon as we get to our fridge. Let's avoid both scenarios whenever possible, which means we need to keep those healthy snacks in our bags or cars or strollers. We may be biased, but one of our favorite on-the-go snacks? Our Italian Herb Low-Carb Crackers -- delish! 


3. Make one change a week.  Change is hard, we all know that. But gradual change is what makes habits stick. By making one change a week (or even month!), you will be the best version of yourself by the end of the year, if not sooner. And, if you fall back off, it's okay, because we're not aiming for perfection. Thing baby steps here and be patient, we owe ourselves that.
